About

Hi, I’m the person behind Cozy Korea. I live in Seoul — most days you’ll find me around Yeouido, the city’s financial district, hunting down lunch.

What this blog is

Honest reviews of Korean restaurants, cafes, and places worth (or not worth) your time — written for travelers and expats who can’t read the Korean blogs. If the broth was bland or the line wasn’t worth it, I’ll say so.

How I rate

Simple 1–5 scale. A 5 means I’d drag a friend there the same week. A 3 means it was fine — not bad, not memorable. I only review what I actually ordered, and I’ll tell you exactly what I paid in both KRW and USD.

Why trust a local?

Tourist-area restaurants in Seoul can be hit or miss, and the places locals actually queue for rarely show up in English search results. I write about both — the famous spots (and whether they hold up) and the office-worker lunch spots no guidebook covers.

Start with the category menus above, or browse everything in Yeouido if you’re staying near the river.
